First gameday is played and we got two teams in the final and two in the consolidation game.
Game 1: 100-80 Utah
Utah continues on to the 2nd Leberwurst Classic championship game. They put out a solid effort
and handled San Jose St with ease in today's 100-80 win. This came as no surprise to Utah fans,
who have been watching their team continue to improve recently. Players are starting to feel more
confident as well. "I feel we can take on just about anybody right now," said today's star, Shearrow.
"The way this team's playing, there's no limit to how far we can go." Utah head coach JensMJ Ellmies
echoed his sentiment, saying "They all know they're as good as any other team in the league. They just
have to stay focused and keep working, and the rest will take care of itself."
Lost in the excitement over Utah was the performance of San Jose St star Barrios.
Utah was led by Shearrow (21 points, 5 boards, 0 assists, 3 blocks), Hamric (20 points, a steal),
Wright (15 points). San Jose St was led by Barrios (12 points, 10 boards, 0 assists), Estrada (15 points,

Game 2: N Carolina St Handles Idaho 64-51
N Carolina St will appear in the 2nd Leberwurst Classic championship game,
after overpowering Idaho. Most around the league expected this kind of result,
but Idaho head coach Petri Heikkinen was defiant until game time. "Underdogs,
my ----. We've got enough talent and enough heart to play with anybody in the
league." Afterwards, his tune had changed significantly. "We've got some work
ahead of us before we can play at their level."
The only bright point for Idaho was the great play by Simpson, and Petri Heikkinen
was quick to praise his star. "If the whole team had played with his energy, we'd
have been able to play with N Carolina St. The bright side is that we know what he
can do against them, and we'll try to build on that for our next meeting."
N Carolina St was led by Meadow (15 points, 7 steals), Lara (22 points),
Magnes (5 points, 5 boards, 0 assists). Idaho was led by Simpson (18 points, 9 boards,
0 assists, a steal), Bornhofen (6 points, a steal), Eberhart (6 points, a steal).
N Carolina St stands at 1-0. They are rated #47 in the poll. Idaho stands at 0-1
with this defeat. They are rated #300 in the writers poll.

On the second gameday we saw the Championship Game and we got our second Champion.
Championship Game: JensMJ Ellmies Gets Big Win over N Carolina St
Utah netted the 2nd Leberwurst Classic championship thanks to a 72-61 win over N Carolina St,
aided by great preparation by coach JensMJ Ellmies. "They did everything right," said N Carolina
St coach Tom DeSanctis. "That's really all there was to the game. They made the best of the chances
we gave them, and didn't give us any really good shots of our own. My hat is off to JensMJ Ellmies;
he did a heck of a job."
Said JensMJ Ellmies, "It was one of those games every coach dreams of. Everything went as hoped.
Especially Shearrow - without his effort it would have been a tight game."
